Phased development

The planting of cocoa and shade crops such as plantains started in September 2009, with the aim of developing the estate in phases, and by having the first crops in the ground by June in 2010. Trinidad has two seasons a wet and a dry, therefore shade crops such as bananas and plantains must be planted along with the cocoa plants.

    1. Hello Fred, Happy New Year, It take approximately four years for the trees to start bearing, but the "loads" are small. As the trees mature about 5-7 years the yield improves.
